Swami Dayananda Saraswati
is highly regarded as an outstanding scholar and teacher in the line of
traditional teachers of Vedanta. He has taught in India
for the past thirtyfive years and since 1976, he has lectured
extensively in the West. Since 1968, Swami Dayananda has served as an
executive administrator, director and trustee of several religious,
educational and cultural organisations.
Gifted with
sensitivity to cultural diversity, Swami Dayananda understands the
current social, domestic and psychological issues and helps people
address these pragmatically and fundamentally. His tireless and
skillful unfoldment of the scriptural texts has touched the lives of
thousands of seekers around the world.
One of
Swamiji’s unique contributions to humanity has been designing and
teaching three year resident Vedanta and Sanskrit courses. There have
been six such resident courses, four in India
and two in the United States.
Each course had about sixty graduates who are now qualified teachers.
Two centers of Vedic learning have been established in India: Swami
Dayananda Ashram at Rishikesh and Arsha Vidya Gurukulam at Coimbatore;
and one centre in the United States of America, Arsha Vidya Gurukulam
at Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania.
